As of 1 June, Ms Heidi Thomé took over as Head of the Optical Coating Division of RhySearch and is also a member of the Research Institute's management team. The previous head, Dr Roelene Botha, is taking up a new position outside research.

Heidi Thomé has worked in the optics and coating industry for over 20 years. After studying meteorology and physics, she held various positions at Materion Optics Balzers and its predecessor companies. She has a wealth of experience in both development and product management.

Roelene Botha will remain with RhySearch until mid-June to ensure a smooth handover.
