Dr. Andreas Reiter takes over as managing director of RhySearch

RhySearch, the research and innovation centre in the Rhine Valley, is undergoing a change in management. After 12 years in the role, the current managing director, Dr. Richard Quaderer, is leaving the Buchs (SG)-based research centre. Responsibility will transfer to Dr. Andreas Reiter, who will take up his position at RhySearch on 1 July 2026.

Dr. Andreas Reiter is an expert in technology development and management with a proven track record in successfully implementing innovation projects. Drawing on his international experience and in-depth knowledge of business development, he will continue to shape RhySearch's strategic direction as it enters its next phase of growth.

Successful work of the previous managing director

Richard Quaderer has played a key role in shaping and building up RhySearch since its foundation in 2013. Under his leadership, the research center has developed from a regional initiative into a nationally recognized center of technological excellence.

During his term, RhySearch established a technical infrastructure in the fields of ultra-precision machining and optical coating that is unique in Switzerland. The organization also set up the Digital Innovation Lab and increased sales continuously.
His successful work is evident through numerous successful research and innovation projects with industry partners and recognition as a research institution eligible for Innosuisse funding in 2017 and 2024 as a technology competence center of national importance.
