ALD technology for swiss optical industry

As part of an Innosuisse project, RhySearch's atomic layer deposition (ALD) technology is being used by a consortium of manufacturers representing the optical component value chain to address several challenging issues:

• Development of materials suitable for optical applications;
• Evaluating the industrial use of the technology in the existing process chain; and
• Investigating techniques to optimize the deposition process.

The consortium consists of six implementation partners plus two research partners with extensive experience in the field of optical coating and its characterization.
